Before we begin, I have a way hundreds of you can help.
As part of my work, it is my hope to record an accurate, publicly accessible record of protests. My volunteers, organizers, and I have been submitting counts for past national protests. Using averages, I estimate that 3.5 to 4.5 million people protested on April 5. You can see the data HERE.
My hope is to have an estimate by the evening of June 14 with a final count that week. To do this, we will need hundreds of volunteers registering counts for their sites.
YOU CAN VOLUNTEER to count. I will provide training. It’s fairly simple and will require about fifteen minutes or less, depending on the size of your protest.
You do NOT need to be an organizer to count, though partnering with them would be courteous.
Go to my website to volunteer. I’ll send you a reminder and training materials.
