We are Long Beach Indivisible. We started our group with a few people in November of 2024 and now have over 900 email subscribers, meet twice a month, one in person, one per Zoom. We’re active doing regular Tesla Protests along with partnering with other local groups to support other protests. We are planning a multi phased NO KINGS protest on June 14th.
It is really terrible to see middle & lower class Americans fighting against one another over petty things when many of them are fighting against Medicaid & SNAP cuts.
It is equally frustrating seeing flawed people continue to never learn and grow.
Social Security Disability Income applicants / recipients are not getting treated fairly. They are not getting a standard that is fair to what they paid into.
Good to see all the states listed, now start impeachment hearings on the republican Congress and Senate leaders. Do that in each State to hopefully get them out of office
I wrote a really long post about being a member of ISBLA and Beach Cities Indivisible and some info about me but I hit something and lost it!! 🙄 Short version I’ve been to rallies- Ted Lieu spoke at one in Torrance. One in San Diego- both of them had great signs! And my daily actions are taking Jess Cravens great scripts and sending them as emails. I find it works better for me because of the time difference- I’m in CA and HI parts of the year. I’ve been turning the scripts into emails because I find I get written answers! when I do. I used to call but with the time difference, I email and sometimes I get long answers about what my senators are doing to fight the republican chaos.

We meet weekly in NWPhilly (somehow our regular listing didn't repeat, we'll work on that) - #WeThePeopleWednesdays: Singing for Sanity. Each week local musicians lead us in protest songs, followed by a rousing speaker addressing the outrageous cuts, and action items. This is a very replicable event - musicians are eager to help with protesting!

Suggested Resistance: Sign up for 2 tickets to attend the June 14 military parade, then don’t attend.
