This week’s edition will be a tad short, as I am headed on a roadtrip. In mid-July, I plan to leap back into regular lives, videos, and more.

Also, Women’s March is hosting the Free America Weekend in cities across the US. They invite you to be a part of a rally, march, BBQ, teach-in, or gathering in your community.

DATA CENTERS

Cities across the nation are pushing back against data centers AND WINNING. If a data center is threatening your town, here are four places you can go for support.

DATA CENTER REPORTING | Erin Brockovich has created a data center reporting tool and map. It contains useful articles and information.

HALT THE HARM | Halt the Harm has launched a site filled with training and resources.

NO DATA CENTERS | This grassroots, nonpartisan group is organizing protests every other Saturday at 10:00 AM. The next one is June 27. Your city can add your protest to the map.

NAACP | The NAACP has launched a page to help communities reduce the harm caused by data centers.

FOOD & WATER WATCH | Food and Water Watch has created a page titled: How to Stop a Data Center Near You. Check it out for tools and resources.

VOTER REGISTRATION

FIELD TEAM 6 | The midterms are one stop on the path to building a better democracy. To rebuild a system that works for the people, we need to do the work of registering voters and getting them to the polls.

Field Team 6 is a volunteer army doing partisan voter registration, and this year, they are targeting Texas. Learn how YOU CAN VOLUNTEER.

THE DEMOCRATS | The Democrats have announced a mass voter registration drive. Volunteer to help ensure that every eligible voter is registered in your state by visiting THIS PAGE.

ROCK THE VOTE | Rock the Vote draws on decades of experience to target and register young voters. You can volunteer, or you can send their website to a young voter in your life.

Brought to you by the organizers behind All Roads Lead to the South comes Freedom Summer—a series of ten dates, stretching from Juneteenth week to Election Day.

Freedom Summer is launching in Harlem on Juneteenth. A week of action will follow. There will be teach-ins, voter registration events, and more.

“Montgomery got us started. Mississippi kept it going. Freedom Summer is a nationwide season of action — opening Juneteenth Week, running through the John Lewis Days, Voter Registration Day, and Election Day. Movement and momentum for the midterms and beyond.”

In August, there will be a national organizing week against ALPRs—automated license plate readers.
